Frequently Asked Questions

When will I receive the funds I have earned?

The balance for SIM card usage (status “Active”) is credited daily. On the 1st day of the next month, the accumulated amount from all SIM cards becomes available for payment. Remuneration for the past month is paid automatically from the 1st to the 10th day of the month to the wallet specified by you. The minimum payout is $10. If your balance for the month is below $10, it is not paid out and carries over to the next month.

Very often the status is “Not Ready”. What can I do?

Make sure that the application is configured correctly. Set Sharing SMS as the default SMS app.
Also, make sure that battery optimization is turned off (as a rule, any power saving mode can disrupt the stable operation of the application). Use the IGNORE BATTERY OPTIMIZATION and OPEN APP SETTINGS buttons in the app settings: they take you to the right device settings. Disable any restrictions on the app’s background activity.

We would like to remind you that you regularly receive notifications about the change of your SIM card status to the WhatsApp number, Telegram account or e-mail address specified by you.

How many SIM cards should I start with?

Your country may be new to our clients. It is a good idea to start with no more than 2 SIM cards to assess demand. We recommend that you have the option to expand in case additional orders arise. Keep in mind that all your SIM cards must be online at the same time.
SIM cards wear out over time (too many registrations, failures, etc.). If a SIM card has been in use for a long time, it is important to be able to replace it. In this case, the “Replace” status in the Personal Account and in the application will indicate the need for replacement.

Can I use my personal SIM card?

No. The number your account is registered to (your contact number) cannot be rented out. We only accept SIM cards whose numbers have never been used to register on any services (messengers, delivery services, apps, banking, etc.), because that is exactly what clients rent them for.

Can I use a SIM card registered to my ID?

We strongly discourage it. A rented number is used by clients to register on services in your country and abroad, and if the SIM card is on your ID or passport data, those registrations are tied to your name. Use prepaid SIM cards that are not linked to your personal documents and are not on a contract, with a minimal plan and no registration history. More in How to start.

Why can’t I change the number in my Personal Account?

Make sure the contact number you are confirming in your account is entered correctly and is not one of the numbers you rent out.

Will SMS be sent from my SIM card?

Your SIM card will only be used to receive incoming SMS. Our service neither sends SMS nor makes calls.

Where can I download your app?

You can download the Sharing SMS app in your Personal Account after registration.
Or download it directly: sharingsms.com/apk
The same link is in the description of our Telegram channel @sharingsms
You can also download the APK file to your computer and transfer it to your phone via cable.
How to install an APK file.

My phone warns me about the APK — is it a virus?

Android’s built-in protection warns about installing APK files from any source outside Google Play. If installation is blocked, tap “Install anyway”.

Is this a scam?

Our application is designed exclusively for renting out numbers to receive incoming SMS. The client only gets access to incoming SMS on the SIM card you rent out. We do not encourage the use of a personal device. On the contrary, we strongly recommend using a separate phone and only SIM cards that have never been used for registration on services.

You do not need to undergo any verification with documents to become our partner. Regular reward payments are made exclusively in cryptocurrency. Your contact details are only required to get back to you in cases such as:

1. We have an order for your number, but its status is “Not Ready”.
2. We have demand for your country and have received several orders.
3. We need to replace the SIM card because it has been in use for a long time and is spammed.
4. Other urgent situations.

Does the phone number get used for any suspicious or illegal services?

No. Our clients are businesses that need to receive verification codes and notifications on real numbers, and they are prohibited from using your numbers for unlawful purposes. The number only receives incoming SMS: nothing is sent from it and no calls are made. If a client breaks the rules, we block the client, not the partner. If you ever see anything that worries you on a rented number, write to support.

Do you have a referral program?

Yes. After a stability period, the Referrals section with your personal link appears in your Personal Account. For each active referral you receive 10% of the amount the referral earned for the previous month.
How to access the referral program.

How often do I need to change my SIM card?

The SIM card should be changed as it is used. We cannot know exactly how actively the client will use it. Numbers with “Used” status can also be rented, but they are not prioritized for sale, so they take longer to activate than new numbers. Some numbers with “Used” status can be restored to “New” status if you are prepared to delete accounts on the most popular services after a customer has used the number. To find out which services are registered, please contact support. If replacement is necessary, the status “Replace” will be displayed in your Personal Account.

There are two balances in my Personal Account, how are they different?

You receive money for each day of stable SIM card operation. Accruals are credited daily to the balance of SIM cards with “Active” status. At the end of the month, the monthly accruals from all SIM cards are transferred to the total balance. Remuneration for the past month is paid automatically between the 1st and the 10th to the wallet you specified.

Does the internet need to be constantly on?

Yes, a stable Internet connection is a key requirement for the service to work. Without it, incoming SMS cannot be forwarded and the client will not receive the service.

How can I monitor my phone’s charge level remotely?

In your Personal Account, open the SIM card menu and select “SIM Info”. In the opened window there is an item “Battery”.

I changed my phone, logged into the app but my SIM cards are not there, what do I do?

The new device is a new Device ID to which the SIM cards are bound. If the SIM card status is “Active”, you can insert the SIM card, enter the number via the “Add” option and tap the “Migrate to this device” button. If the process does not complete, please ensure that the SIM card is working and contact our technical support specialist via chat. If the status is “Inactive”, delete the number from your Personal Account first and then add it on the new device.

When adding a number I get the error “The specified number has been previously added, please indicate another number”. How do I add it?

This error may occur if you have installed the application on your device and are trying to add a SIM card number that you have already added on another device. You should delete the number from your Personal Account and add it again on the new device. If the number has the status “Active”, please contact the technical support chat.

Nothing happens when I try to add a number, what do I do?

If the number is not added automatically, please check that your SIM card is working and contact our technical support specialist via chat. The specialist will send an SMS with a short code to the number you wish to add, and help you add it manually.

The SMS does not arrive and the number is not added. What should I do?

Follow these instructions to send a log file:
1. Open the application side menu.
2. Tap 7 times on the version at the bottom.
3. On the Heartbeat screen that opens, tap the LOGS button.
4. On the Logs screen, tap the share icon and select the app to send through. The easiest way is to send to Telegram. You can also save to your device and send the file manually to Telegram, chat or e-mail.

As soon as the logs are reviewed by our developers, you will be sent an answer to your question.

What if instead of an SMS with a code I get a call that reads the code out loud, and there is nowhere to enter it?

Such cases may occur when adding a Vietnamese number. There are also known cases of SMS non-delivery to the following countries: Kazakhstan, Armenia, as well as those under sanctions, for example, Iran. If you have difficulties when adding a number, please contact our support chat.

I can’t open my Personal Account on my phone (white page). How to download the application?

Your device probably hasn’t received an update in a while. Check if your browser has been updated to the latest version, e.g. Chrome. If not, please update and try to open your Personal Account again.
In case your device does not have a Google account added and Google Play is not authorized, you can download the browser as an APK file and install it.

My SIM card is roaming and SMS is not coming — what could be the reason?

First of all, make sure that your SIM card supports receiving SMS in roaming at all. For some operators’ SIM cards, you need to activate SMS delivery by sending an outgoing SMS message. If you still do not receive any SMS, try manually selecting a different network operator in the phone settings.

Why am I not getting an SMS when I try to add a number to Sharing SMS?

You may need to enable roaming to deliver incoming SMS abroad. Before adding a number to Sharing SMS, make sure that data roaming is enabled in the Android settings for your SIM card.

How to gain access to the Referrals section?

To keep our referral program effective and rewarding for everyone, access to the Referrals section — where your personal referral link is located — is granted to partners who show consistent and reliable activity on the platform. This means maintaining stable performance with the SIM cards you add.

How to gain access to the Referrals section:

1. Add and maintain active SIM cards — make sure your SIM cards stay active and are able to receive SMS. This helps build your reputation in our system and shows you’re a reliable partner.

2. Monitor SIM card stability — we evaluate the performance of your SIM cards over a 10-day period. If your cards stay active without issues (like frequent status changes from “Ready” to “Not Ready”), you’ll be on track to unlock the Referrals section.

⚠️ Important: Do not add SIM cards that have previously been used for registration on services. They sell much slower and may affect your standing.
Once you’ve shown consistent engagement and reliability, you’ll gain access to the Referrals section and can start earning from your referrals’ activity.

Which phones are not recommended?

We do not recommend using Huawei or Honor devices, or budget Chinese smartphones (Alps XS15, Alps S23 Pro, Soyes XS11, etc.), as the app may not work correctly on them.
⚠️ We are not responsible for any issues on these phones.

Does the app work on iPhone?

No. The Sharing SMS app runs on Android 6 and newer only: iOS does not let third-party apps read incoming SMS, so an iPhone cannot forward messages. Any Android phone works, including budget or second-hand ones. See How to start.

Why should I avoid 3G?

Many operators around the world are gradually shutting down their 3G networks as they move fully to 4G and 5G technologies. When this happens, devices that still rely on 3G may struggle to stay connected, experience unstable signal, or fail to receive SMS altogether. This directly impacts delivery rates and can lead to missed messages and reduced earnings. We recommend setting your preferred network type to 2G only — on newer phones, 4G/3G/2G (auto) also works.

To learn more about how network settings affect SMS delivery and how to configure your device correctly, see our guide to network settings.
