1. Who we are
Sharing SMS (the Company, “we”) runs the website sharingsms.com, the Personal Account at dashboard.sharingsms.com and the Sharing SMS app for Android. We decide what data is collected and how it is used, and we are responsible for it. For anything about your data, write to [email protected] or use any channel listed on Support and Contacts.
This policy uses the same words as the Terms and Conditions: the Company, the Partner (you, once you have a Personal Account) and the Agreement.
2. What data we collect
2.1 When you visit the website. Technical data that your browser sends: the IP address, the browser and the device type, the language, the pages you open, the page you came from and the time of the visit. The analytics tools described in section 5 collect this on our behalf. If you open the site through a partner’s referral link, the referral id from the link is stored in a cookie for 30 days so that the partner is credited when you sign up.
2.2 When you write to us. The chat in the corner of the site is run by HelpCrunch: it keeps what you write, the name and e-mail address if you enter them, and technical data such as the browser and the pages you opened, so that support can see the context of your question. The form on the Support and Contacts page asks for your name, e-mail address, subject and message; the message goes to our support mailbox and we reply to the address you enter. If you write to us on WhatsApp or Telegram, we see the profile data those services show us, such as your number, username and display name, and the history of the conversation.
2.3 When you register a Personal Account. Your e-mail address and password, your contact phone number and, if you fill them in, your Telegram and WhatsApp so that support can reach you. Your payout details: the addresses of the USDT or USDC wallets you add. The phone numbers of the SIM cards you rent out and, for each number, its status history, incidents, penalties, daily accruals and payouts. If you came through a referral link, the connection between your account and the partner who invited you, and the referral rewards it earns them.
2.4 When you use the app. The app connects your SIM cards to the platform, so it reports what is needed to run the service: the Device ID, the phone model and the Android version, the state of each SIM card, the network connection and the battery level, and the times the app and each number were online. The app asks for the permissions listed on the How to start page: Phone, to read the phone and SIM status; SMS, to confirm the numbers and forward messages; Location, for the information from cell towers and Wi-Fi access points; Notifications, to show the status of your numbers. SMS that arrive on a rented number are delivered to the client who rented it: that is the service you provide. Log files from the app reach us only when you send them to support yourself.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the service: register your SIM cards, rent them out, deliver SMS to clients and show the statuses in the Personal Account and the app.
- To calculate rewards and pay them: daily accruals, penalties, monthly payouts to your wallet and referral rewards.
- To support you and keep you informed: replies to your requests and notifications about status changes, incidents and payouts by e-mail and, if you set it up, Telegram. We may also contact you first, for example when a client has ordered your number but its status is Not Ready.
- To keep the platform secure and fair: preventing duplicate accounts, fraud and abuse.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it: aggregated statistics of visits.
- To comply with the law and to resolve disputes.
Where the law asks for a legal basis, it is the Agreement with you for the first three purposes, our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable platform for the next two, your consent for optional cookies where consent is required, and our legal obligations for the last one.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. It is shared only as far as the service needs it:
- Clients who rent your numbers receive the number itself and the SMS that arrive on it. They do not receive your name, your contacts or any other account data.
- Service providers that host and protect the site or process data on our instructions: Cloudflare (content delivery and security), Google (Tag Manager and Analytics on the site, the reCAPTCHA check on the Personal Account login) and HelpCrunch (the chat on the site). Each of them describes its own processing in its own privacy policy.
- Messengers and e-mail: when you contact us on WhatsApp or Telegram, or receive notifications there, the messages pass through those services under their own terms.
- Blockchain networks: a payout is a transaction to your wallet address. The address, the amount and the time of the transaction are public on the blockchain and cannot be deleted.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or when we need to defend our rights.
5. Cookies and analytics
The notice at the bottom of every page tells you that the site uses cookies; it does not block anything. These are the cookies the site sets:
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| trp_language | the site | Remembers the language you chose | 30 days |
| sharesms-weboffice-referral-id | the site | Credits the partner whose referral link brought you | 30 days |
| ss_cookie_notice | the site | Remembers that you closed the cookie notice | 1 year |
| __cf_bm and other cf_ cookies | Cloudflare | Security and bot protection | up to 30 minutes |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager | Tells visitors and visits apart for aggregated statistics | 2 years |
The HelpCrunch chat also stores an identifier in your browser so that a conversation continues from page to page. You can delete or block cookies in your browser at any time; the site works without them, only the language choice, the referral link and the closed notice are not remembered. Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics. The analytics on sharingsms.com is not linked to your Personal Account.
6. How long we keep it
- Account data: for as long as your Personal Account exists, and afterwards for the time needed to complete payouts, resolve disputes and meet accounting obligations.
- Numbers you delete disappear from your account; their status and payout history stays in the records of the account.
- Support correspondence: kept in the support mailbox and messenger history so that we can follow up on repeated issues.
- Log files: only for as long as the developers need them to resolve your issue.
- Website analytics: for the periods set in Google Analytics.
7. Your rights
Whatever country you are in, you can:
- See and change your contact data in Account Settings of the Personal Account, and your wallets in Your Payout Details.
- Ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct, delete or stop using your data. Deleting the Personal Account ends the Agreement: rewards that are due are paid as usual if the terms were kept, and we keep only what the law requires.
- Withdraw your consent to optional cookies at any time by clearing them in the browser.
- Complain to the data protection authority of your country if you believe we handle your data wrongly.
Write to [email protected] from the address your Personal Account is registered to; we may ask you to confirm your identity and we reply within a month.
8. Security
The website and the Personal Account work over HTTPS, and access to account data is limited to the people who need it for support and payouts. Payouts go only to the wallet addresses you add, so keep your login details safe and check an address before saving it: blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. If you suspect that someone else has access to your account, write to support immediately.
9. Children
The service is for adults: by accepting the Terms and Conditions you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, the new version is published on this page with a new date at the top. If a change matters to Partners, such as a new type of data or a new recipient, we also tell you by e-mail. By continuing to use the service after the change you accept the new version.
